Five eco swaps that clean just as well

Everything we bring into a home is plant-based, biodegradable and refilled from bulk. It is not a premium option; it is the only option. These are the swaps, and what they replaced.

1. Bleach → oxygen bleach

Sodium percarbonate does the whitening and disinfecting without the fumes or the risk to grout and sealant. It is the reason our bathrooms do not smell like a swimming pool afterwards.

2. Glass spray → vinegar and water

Half and half in a refillable bottle, with a microfibre cloth. Streak-free, and the vinegar smell is gone in a minute.

3. Cream cleaner → bicarbonate paste

For hobs, sinks and the inside of the oven. A gentle abrasive that does not scratch, and it rinses clean.

4. Disposable wipes → microfibre cloths

Colour-coded by room so a bathroom cloth never sees a kitchen, washed at 60°C after every job. One cloth replaces a few hundred wipes over its life.

5. Air freshener → an open window

The honest answer. Synthetic fragrance is the thing most clients ask us to avoid, and a home that has been properly cleaned does not need masking.

If you have a preference

Some surfaces want a specific product: sealed stone, oiled wood, a treated floor. Leave it out with a note and it goes on your checklist. You only have to say it once.
