Your first visit: what to expect

Most people have never had someone clean their home before, and the first visit is where the nerves are. Here is exactly how it goes.

Before the day

You fill in the quote form: bedrooms, bathrooms, how often, anything we should know. A fixed price comes back the same day, usually within the hour. If it suits, you pick a day and we confirm the team by name.

When the team arrives

Two people, plain clothes, their own kit. The first ten minutes are a walk round with you, if you are in, or with your notes if you are not. This is where the checklist for your home gets written: what matters most, what to leave alone, where the spare key lives.

During the visit

The first visit runs long. A home that has not had help for a while takes more than the plan visit will, and we would rather do it properly once. You are welcome to stay, work, or go out. Nobody needs supervising.

Before they leave

The team checks the list, photographs anything they could not do and why, and sends you a short note. If something is not right, say so within 48 hours and we come back at no cost.

What to have ready

  • somewhere for the team to park or a note on where not to
  • linen out if you want the beds changed
  • anything fragile or precious moved or pointed out
  • the dog, if the dog has opinions

After that, every visit is the same team working to the same list, and you should not have to think about it again.
